Where to hunt:
There are over 35,000 acres of private land open to hunters in Logan County, and hundreds of thousands of open hunting acres nearby. Consult the PLOTS guide printed by the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, available on-line at , or in print through the Game and Fish Department (1-800-406-6409). Copies of the PLOTS guide may be available at Locals' or the County Courthouse.
Most landowners will open their land to hunters who ask permission and act responsibly while on their land.

Alkaline Lake – 8 miles north, 7 miles east of Napoleon (Pike, Walleye, Perch)
Arnie’s Lake – 1.5 miles south of Gackle (Perch, no ramp)
Beaver Lake – 8 miles south, 8 miles east of Napoleon, (Pike, Perch, ramp)
Braun Lake – 5 miles north, 6 miles west of Napoleon (Perch, no ramp)
Marvin Miller Lake – 6.5 miles south, 8 miles west of Gackle (Walleye, Perch, no ramp)
Lake McKenna – 1 mile west of Napoleon (Pike, Perch, Walleye,  concrete ramp)
Rudolph Lake – 12 miles east, 1 mile south of Napoleon (Walleye, Perch)
Wentz Lake – 13 miles east of Napoleon (Walleye, Perch)
